Using the pain-monitoring model in the management of achilles tendinopathy.

Siibernagel et al 2007 used the pain-monitoring model in a study on Achilles tendinopathy that showed that you can safely continue some activity like running.  ( see picture below) We know that tendinopathy does not improve with rest as the tendon weakens.
