Sarah Egan
Sarah graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. Prior to this Sarah completed a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at University of Limerick. Since graduating, Sarah has worked in multiple private practice settings gaining invaluable experience with a wide-ranging patient caseload, with a particular interest in office ergonomics and women’s health. Sarah’s treatment approach focuses on using a combination of exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques, such as deep soft tissue massage, trigger point release and dry needling. Sarah is also a clinical Pilates instructor and frequently incorporates Pilates based exercises into her treatment plan where applicable.
Sarah has worked as an Ergonomics Specialist in Google, where she was responsible for the management of the ergonomic program for Google sites throughout Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA). Sarah has a strong background in strength and conditioning, with qualifications from the Irish Amateur Weightlifting Association and the National Council for Exercise and Fitness.
Sarah is an avid skier and soccer player, and is a former national rowing champion and has also represented Ireland internationally on multiple occasions in her youth. Sarah carries her keen interest in sports through to her patients, and really enjoys dealing with sports injuries.
Catherine Egan
Catherine Egan graduated from University College Dublin in 2021 with a degree in Physiotherapy. While in university, Catherine received the award for an outstanding dissertation from the ISCP. Since graduating, Catherine has been based in private practice clinics, gaining a wide array of experience.
In 2022, she received her STOTT Pilates qualification and has been running a busy Pilates service ever since. Catherine’s treatment approach combines manual therapy techniques with tailored exercise programmes, and advice and education. It is Catherine’s belief that rehab is a collaborative effort between the physiotherapist and the patient, and that this is essential for the proper implementation of exercise into a busy lifestyle.
Catherine has a particular interest in sports injuries, women’s health, and biomechanical pain. Catherine has been a member of Kilmacud Crokes GAA club all her life and has been an avid golfer since childhood. She enjoys using her experience in a wide array of sports, and her knowledge as a physio to effectively manage sports injuries, and get people back to the sport they love.
Ruth O’Connor
With over 20 years of clinical experience, Ruth is a highly skilled Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal and pelvic health. She holds a First Class Honours BSc in Physiotherapy from UCD and an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
As the former Founder and Clinical Lead of Apollo Physiotherapy Clinic, Ruth has extensive experience managing complex musculoskeletal and post-natal rehabilitation cases. Her specialised skill set includes pelvic floor rehabilitation, dry needling, shockwave therapy, and C-section scar therapy. She also integrates matwork and reformer Pilates into her patient-centered care. When she is not treating patients or lecturing at UCD, Ruth is a dedicated endurance athlete who has completed the World Major Marathons and is currently training for HYROX.
Emily Kock
Emily is an enthusiastic physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2022 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. With experience internationally across both hospital and private outpatient practice, she is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Emily received her APPI Pilates certification in 2024, with additional training in Pre- and Post-natal Pilates and has been leading in group classes as well as individual one-to-one sessions. What she enjoys about Pilates is how it allows clients to take charge of their own management, while still under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
Emily has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from the lower back, to sporting injuries. Having completed the Mckenzie Method for Lumbar Spine, Dry needling, as well as a Pelvic Health course, she has a wide variety of skills available to her for each individual presentation.
In any environment, Emily is passionate about helping her patients to achieve their goals through education, exercise rehabilitation and manual techniques.
